Mackie had her 3-year check-up today. Prior to our visit, I asked her predictions on height and weight. She told me that she was going to be two pounds and 36 inches.
Hmmm....that would be a super long and lean.
She's long and lean all right (not that much, but still, the legs say it all!). She's 33 pounds (75th percentile) and 39.5 inches (92nd percentile). Her BMI has gone down since her 2-year appointment because (naturally) she's not gaining as much weight since she's so active. Dr. Miller says she looks great and is growing wonderfully. We're praising God for our healthy (and spirited!) little girl.
On her birthday, I had the treat of interviewing her. I asked some random questions and video taped them, but the camcorder is buried somewhere, the cords are in another location, and I want to have it in writing in case something ever does happen to the darn thing. So....here's a snippet of our interview:
What's your favorite color? Pink. And purple. Pink and purple.
What's your favorite thing to do? Color and play.
What's your favorite food? Mac and cheese.
What's your favorite show? Little Einsteins and See-See (Sesame Street - she knows how to say it correctly, but it will always be See-See!)
Who are your friends? Wyatt, Avery, Eli, Daddy, Brax, and Kaylee (our sweet flower girl from our wedding seven years ago!)
What do you want to be when you grow up? (pauses).... I want to play. And be a mommy. And be a firefighter like Wyatt.
There you have it! From the mouth of our (big girl) babe.
