Christmas Spirit: Christmas Eve Service & Family Time

I love Christmas Eve. There are parts of the day I love even more than Christmas Day itself, namely our church's Christmas Eve candlelight service. There's something so blissful about getting into God's Word and worshipping Christ's birth through song and twinkling candlelight that makes my heart brim over with happiness.

We enjoyed a beautiful Christmas Eve service with our church family and friends. This year, Brax was mesmerized by the fire (pyro, anyone?!) and Mackie belted out "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" (namely the Gloria part). Love having our entire family together for church service.

After service, we headed over to my parent's house for the annual Preston-Brawner Christmas Eve celebration. It was a great time of fellowship with my grandparents, aunt, cousins, and their kiddos.

Mackie and Cole with their annual Christmas Eve pic - the almost birthday twins, born a day apart! It's fun to snap a pic of them each year to see how they grow.

We do a simple gift exchange but changed things up a bit this year with the kiddos. Each kid family exchanged a board game. It was perfect! Mackie and Brax received a cute Melissa & Doug puppy game that we can't wait to play over the rest of Christmas break.

It was a fantastic evening, again, filled with complete love for Jesus and God's precious gift.
